Turn Overview (NB: during your turn you are known as The Boss)
1 – Either “make the deal” (for the space the dollar marker is on) by saying “let’s make a deal” and starting negotiations, or
2 – Throw the die. Move the dollar marker that many spaces clockwise, skipping spaces whose deals have been concluded (these will be covered by a face down Deal Tile). Then either:
a) Make the deal: by saying “let’s make a deal” and starting negotiations, or
b) Draw 3 cards from the deck of Influence Cards. If you have more than 12 Influence cards, immediately discard the excess cards or play 3 Recruitment Cards to recruit an Investor Card from another player.
第2条的b:抓三张牌,如果你的手牌超过12张,则立即丢掉超过的张数,或者使用三张购买卡从别的玩家手中买一个本尊.
Making a deal
- Negotiations may only begin when the Boss says the words “Let’s make a deal”.
- A player must play a Clan card face up in front of himself before it is eligible to be part of the Deal. This applies to the Boss too. Only then can negotiations begin to add that Clan card to the deal (i.e. as an investor in the deal.)
是不是说宣布交易前就要下假本尊
- A face up Clan card must be discarded if it is used in the deal or if it is “sent away on a trip” by a Travel Card. Otherwise it is taken back into a player’s hand when the deal comes to an end (and not before).
假本尊如果没有在交易中分钱,则可以回手?
c) 33 Recruitment cards – can only be played in triples. Play 3 Recruitment cards to steal an Investor Card and make it your own (NB: never on a Clan card). Unclaimed Investor Cards next to the board MUST be recruited before stealing other players’ Investor cards (these extra Investors are from step 1 of the Setup instructions).
是不是只能买本尊,不能买假本尊?
以下为详细规则.
I'm the Boss! Quick Reference
Setup
1 – Remove the 6 Investor Cards from the deck and deal 1 randomly to each player (with only 3 players deal 2 cards each). These remain face up in front of the players at all times. Any extra investor cards are placed face up next to the board.
2 – Shuffle the deck of Influence Cards. Deal 5 cards to each player face down (players may look at their cards).
3 – Place the Influence card deck face down in the middle of the board. Leave space for a face up discard pile next to it.
4 – Order the Deal Tiles from 1 to 15. Place them in a face up stack in the middle of the board with deal #1 on top.
5 – Choose a banker. NB: players begin the game with no money!
6 – The starting player is the one whose Investor card is first in alphabetical order.
7 – The player to his right places the dollar marker on the space of his choice.

Game End and Scoring
From the 10th deal on the game could come to an end. After the deal is successfully concluded, the Deal Tile is placed over the deal space. The Deal Tile now shows the die rolls which will cause the game to come to an end. The Boss rolls the die.
The winner is the player with the most money at the end of the game.
- A face up Clan card must be discarded if it is used in the deal or if it is “sent away on a trip” by a Travel Card. Otherwise it is taken back into a player’s hand when the deal comes to an end (and not before).
- Investor cards are already face up in front of the players. They are never discarded, even if they take part in the deal.
- Negotiations may only be for cash payments from the current deal. Deals are binding. No prepayments are allowed.
- If the Boss has all the cards needed for the Deal himself, he must still give the other players a chance to play their Influence Cards before declaring the Deal closed (e.g. count to 10 slowly).
- If the deal is successfully concluded: the Boss receives the money, pays the other players as agreed and covers the space with the Deal Tile. The dollar marker moves to the next free space. Play passes to the next player to his left.
- Otherwise the Boss must declare that negotiations have failed. This ends his turn immediately.
- Players must keep all their money visible on the table, but may stack it so that the total amount is kept secret.
Summary of Influence Cards
Influence cards may be played at any time during the deal by any player and without limit.
Played Influence cards are discarded at the end of the turn (except possibly Clan cards as noted under “Making a deal”).
When the Influence card deck runs out, reshuffle the discard pile to form a new Influence card deck.
a) 24 Clan cards – showing members of the different families which can be investors in a deal. Clan cards can be used instead of Investor cards to bring a particular family into the deal. There are 4 Clan Cards for each family.
b) 21 Travel cards – showing an aeroplane. Play on an Investor or Clan card to cancel it out. Cancelled Clan cards are discarded immediately. Investor cards are cancelled for the current turn only. There are 3 travel cards per family (playable on its members only) and 3 wild cards (question marks) playable on members of any family.
c) 33 Recruitment cards – can only be played in triples. Play 3 Recruitment cards to steal an Investor Card and make it your own (NB: never on a Clan card). Unclaimed Investor Cards next to the board MUST be recruited before stealing other players’ Investor cards (these extra Investors are from step 1 of the Setup instructions).
d) 10 Boss cards – Play this card to become the new Boss and continue negotiating the deal. Players can stick with their existing agreements or make new deals. The old Boss can still participate, but only like a normal player now. Multiple Boss cards may be played per turn – the last one played determines the current Boss. When the turn ends, the player to the left of the new boss take his turn next.
e) 10 Stop cards – may be played immediately to cancel a Travel card, Boss card or Recruitment triple (even if that card has been played on someone else). The cancelled card and Stop card are both discarded.
