主题：本次英语角围绕“卡坦岛的开拓者”这款精美的桌面游戏进行。大家先花20分钟熟悉游戏规则，而后即可试玩。游戏中将涉及“讨价还价”、“交换资源”等内容，鼓励各位用英语交流（对于正在学习汉语的朋友，鼓励使用汉语^_）。

关于“卡坦岛的开拓者”游戏：
在这个游戏中各位玩家的角色是来到卡坦岛上的开拓者，在这片美丽而原始的岛屿上，每个人都力争尽快建立起最强大的文明。每位玩家都需要做出一系列决定，比如使用何种资源，在何处建立什么建筑，或者是否试试手气，从一堆“发展卡”中抽取一张对自己可能有用的卡片。
本游戏是“德国风格桌游”中第一款打入欧洲以外市场的产品，迄今全球销售量已达110万份，在原来德语版的基础上，被翻译成25国语言（本次活动中我们所用的为英文版）。

This time we are bringing in another fantastic game, “The settlers of Catan”. Learning the rules of the game takes little time, so that you can spend more time enjoying the game, and practice your Chinese or English while playing.
Theme: Spend 20 minutes to learn about “The settlers of Catan”; for the rest of the time, enjoy the game – it includes trading & bargaining sometimes, and communicating in a foreign language of yours is encouraged!
Time: 19:30-22:00, May 20th (Tuesday);
Venue: BG Bar Hangzhou: Room 303 West Building, Qing Feng Apartment, No.498 Xixi Road (i.e. 100 meters to the northwest of the North Gate, YuQuan Campus of Zhejiang University.);
Requirements:
- All are welcome; you do not need to be good at English or Chinese, because you are here to practice 😉
- Cost: 15 RMB/person. Unlimited soft drinks are provided.

FYI below - about the game
In “The settlers of Catan” players represent the eponymous settlers, establishing a colony on the previously uninhabited island of Catan. They have to make decisions on when and where to build the settlements, which kinds of buildings to construct, whether risk to draw some development cards from a card pile, etc. Every decision they make might affect the result of the game – who could be the dominant force in the shortest time, i.e. be the winner.
“The settlers of Catan” was the first German-style board game to achieve popularity outside Europe. Over 11 million games in the Catan series have been sold, and the game has been translated into twenty-five languages from the original German.
