As of Prosperity, there are 18 different Attack-type cards, yet there are only 3 Reaction-type cards (plus a small handful of defensive combos). My group plays with Base, Seaside, and Prosperity, and we find that many games devolve into attack-fests because frequently the recourse is to take the attack and try to get back at him during a later turn with an attack of your own. Games like this inevitably degenerate into a permanent-3-fingered-hand or fistful-of-Curses game.
Right now we're playing with a variant that allows Moats to stop Attacks entirely, meaning not only is the defender safe but the attacker gets no benefit from playing the card. The possibility of an attack becoming a dead card has made Moat much more playable and attacks a bit trickier to use, but the situation is still the same when it's not in the Kingdom.
Does anyone have any ideas for reducing attack degeneration short of creating our own custom cards or permanently including Reactions? Is dealing with an attack-fest part of Dominion that we're just going to have to deal with? Is this even a problem for anyone else, or is it just my play group?
看来领土加了扩展以后会有机会变成互掐游戏啊
