The African and Asian Tantrix Championships, played online as a single event, is open to all Tantrix players living in or coming from countries on those two continents, with the highest-placed entrant from each continent becoming that continent's champion for 2008.
This year, the overall winner was no. 1 seed Mauro Lazzara (ANG) and the Asian Champion was no. seed 2 Kuo-Shiang Tzu (TWN), who lost the overall Final to Mauro. Unseeded newcomer Shengyuan Wang (PRC) finished third.
