Scout has replace BC's Skirmish card. Scout acts like Skirmish but now when you draw a new card, you draw two and discard one. Assault has been slightly downgraded. Instead of issue a order to all troops in the cards zone, you now issue a order for each card including the Assault you just played in your hand. The 4 Coordinated Attacks have been replace with 3 cards. the Coordinated Advance, which activates 2 units in each section, the Recon in force which acts like the old Coordinated Attack, and OutFlank which activates 2 units on both flanks. FYI: When I say units I also mean generals. All Out Offensive, has been replaced by Battle Cry. Battle Cry is a downgrade, instead of a issue to all units, you roll a die for each card including this one and issue a oreder to each unit symbol rolled. Flags rolled issue orders to any unit the player chooses. Construct Field Works has changed in that it allows 3 Infantry, Artillery or Cavalry to construct the works plus if the card is unusable due to lack of tokens, you can use it to order a unit. Leadership has increased by one and now gives a +1 battle dice when attached to a unit instead of +2. It also can be used to order any one unit if no generals are left. Bombard is now either move 3 hexes or battle twice, plus you can order a different unit if no artillery is available. Now Hit and Run allows orders to all your cavalry and generals that are not attached to cavalry units. Making this card slightly more powerful than the original BC card. Plus again you can use it to activate one unit of your choice if no cavarly are available. Battle And Hold Position replaces Fire And Hold Position. The difference is that it now includes cavalry. Call For Reinforcements, Sharp Shooter, and Forced March now allow you to use the card to activate 1 unit if it doesn't meet the normal requirements stated on the cards. The brand new card is Fight Back it simply allows you to battle back with one unit that was attacked and did not retreat or was eliminated on your opponents turn.
There were 15 scenarios in the BC game. Now, the players are given 30. Of the Classic Scenarios all have returned except Chancellorsville. Many have gone thru some minor tweaks. The Rebels gain victory flags for occupation of the Wheat Field, Devils Den and Hill hexes at Little Round Top. They must have all three positions and gain 3 flags. If they lose any of them the lose ALL 3 flags. I also noted that the Wheat Field no longer can be seen through as the old BC scenario stated. (design or mistake?) Add a Hill tile that will be part of Little Round Top at B10. Remove Field at C6, Add a Wood tile at D1, D7 and remove 1 from D6. Add Field Tile for Wheatfield at D6. Remove Wood tile from E7. The New Scenarios include the Jackson Campaign Supplement. They are McDowell, VA, Winchester, VA., and Cedar Mountain, VA. I didn't have these so they are new to me. If there are difference between the old supplement and the new ones in BC10 I presently do not know. I'll see if I can check them out later and add them if any are interested. Also included are 13 spanking brand new scenarios. All are from the first 20 months of the war. In order they are, Falling Waters, W. VA., Wilson Creek, MO., Greenbrier River, W. VA., Belmont, MO., Dranesville, VA., Fort Donelson, TN., Little Sugar Creek, AK., Williamsburg, VA., Oak Grove, VA., Richmond KY., Ox Hill, VA., Perryville, KY., and Prairie Grove, AK. This is a very diverse group of scenarios. The only fault I could find was with the Richmond KY. scenario. The title calls it the final Union position. But the scenario is from the 2nd Union position of that day. The Federals fought at 3 positions during the running battle on August 30th.
