Fifty Hours of Catan = Guinness World Record
How much do you enjoy your favorite game? Enough to play it for fifty hours in a row? In mid-January 2009, Mark Hing, Martin Phillips-Hing, David Ediger, Dave Northey, George Sawatsky and Sam Dyck set a new Guinness World Record for continuous play of the same board game by playing The Settlers of Catan for fifty hours. The previous record of 42 hours and 48 minutes was established in 2006 by four people playing Carcassonne.
