The two maps included in Power Grid: Québec & Baden-Württemberg were previously released in two separate Power Grid base games: Québec is part of Mégawatts, the French edition of the game released by Filosofia, while Baden-Württemberg was included in Funkenschlag: EnBW, a German edition of the game from EnBW.
In Québec, the Canadian province Québec places great emphasis on energy production via ecological hydro power plants. Once an ecological power plant has been added to the power plant market, it will remain until purchased by a player or removed when the number on it is lower than the number of cities power by any player. The two cities of Montreal and Québec City offer several cheap connections, making this map challenging with several layers of decisions for building the best networks.
In Baden-Württemberg, the clocks move differently: The main change focuses on the order of phases of a game round. First, you buy power plants, then you rearrange the player order. Furthermore, as this province is small, several transregional locations may be connected only starting in »step 2«.
Only a single printing of Power Grid: Québec & Baden-Württemberg will be produced, although the Québec map will remain available in Mégawatts.

Power Grid: Northern Europe/United Kingdom & Ireland is a pair of expansions for Power Grid that includes twelve new power plant cards exclusive for Northern Europe!
• Northern Europe: The seven countries in Northern Europe use very different energy sources for their electricity production. Depending on which regions are chosen the players will be confronted with a changed set of power plants.
• United Kingdom & Ireland: The players can operate two different networks on these two isles. With no direct connection between Ireland and Great Britain, starting the second network costs the player dearly. Additionally, this region changed from a resource exporter to an importer in a very short time, so »Step 3« starts earlier when playing on this map.

Power Grid: Oracle & Industrial Espionage (Funkenschlag: Orakel & Industriespionage) are two promotional cards for Power Grid and Power Grid: The First Sparks that will first be available in October 2012 for a donation at the 2F-Spiele booth during Spiel 2012. The donation is for the self-organized youth center and youth cultural center "Die Friese" located at Friesenstraße in Bremen, Germany. (These cards will be available in the BGG Store by the end of Q1 2013.)
Both cards give a single player information about the topmost card in the power plant or technology draw pile. After buying a card from the market, the player must give the Oracle/Industrial Espionage card to the previous player in turn order.
