Humans, the curious invention of the divine, were originally scattered and alone, relying on appeasement offerings and sacrifices to their creators for protection and survival. Over time, mankind has adapted and learned to prosper on their own accord. Independent of the gods, they find strength in numbers and band together to create cities that rival the houses of the gods themselves. The more organized and advanced humans become the less thought they give to thanking their creators. Faced with the danger of being forgotten by man, the gods, in their great wisdom, have left their celestial temples to make their presence known on Earth once again.
