It is important to underline that, even if the "copyright" issues are a touching and debated subject in the boardgame world, there is something that is really unfair (and illegal, at least in our Countries), which is copying a game mechanism (including the theme!), simply changing the name with respect to the original one.
This thread is referred to an illegal copy of our best selling game, BANG!: the quality of a counterfeit product of this kind cannot be compared to the original one - you may imagine that people dealing with counterfeit products are not interested in paying attention to the quality of materials (i.e. thickness of the cardboards, quality and toxicity of the inks...), at least not more interested than in the copyright issues...
daVinci is planning a legal action against all companies infringing the copyright of its games (it is not the first counterfeit BANG! that we spotted - a sign of the success of the game, by the way!): you may imagine that a legal action against a company located in a Country which is not in line with our copyright regulation may be really difficult... nevertheless, we'll try to play the "Jail" against them - hoping that they won't be able to draw any "heart!"
